Drone delivery models for healthcare
Scott, J. E., & Scott, C. H. · 2017
full-text
This conference paper is an early decision model for a healthcare drone network. It is the name people cite for facility design of blood or medicine delivery. It is important to read it as not a study of clinical outcomes. The full text was not re-read for this card.
After reviewing drone delivery for healthcare where roads are weak, the paper offers two new models for network design. They are usually described as one model that minimizes weighted delivery time and another that pushes the design toward equitable service. The claim is that the models can support a more timely and economical network.
The models depend on inputs for demand and aircraft performance. They do not demonstrate an improvement in survival. The 2017 description of institutions is not a substitute for current rules.
