Drones for parcel and passenger transportation: A literature review
Kellermann, R., Biehle, T., & Fischer, L. · 2020
full-text
This review crosses parcel drones and passenger drones and treats the debate as socio-technical. It holds the regulatory and acceptance points that optimization surveys often drop. The 111 publications were not re-read for this card.
The authors describe a systematic look at interdisciplinary publications from 2013 into early 2019. They sort quotations into barriers, problems, solutions, and benefits, and find the debate centered on technology and regulation. The review also argues that claimed benefits were not yet concrete enough for a participatory societal assessment.
It collects the climate of a literature. It is not a commentary on any one country’s current rules. The population is publications through early 2019. It is also not a field trial proving that benefits are small.
